The relationship between the growth pattern and different trophic categories for the 38 freshwater and 31 marine fishes species were tested separately through the test of Kruskal-Wallis and Dunn. The values used for the tests had been of the rate of growth in literature. The results of this study lead to assume that the marine species present definite pattern of growth, while freshwater species this pattern is not evident
A relação entre o padrão de crescimento e as diferentes categorias tróficas para as 38 espécies de peixes de água doce e 31 de marinhas foi testada através do teste não-paramétrico de Kruskal-Wallis e o de Dunn. Os valores utilizados para os testes foram os das taxas de crescimento obtidas na literatura. Os resultados deste estudo levam a supor que as espécies marinhas apresentam padrões definidos de crescimento, enquanto que nas de água doce esse padrão não é evidente
